How to Stack the Big Bags USA Flood Barrier Systems

Big Bags USA provides versatile flood protection with innovated flood barrier technology.  Our systems can handle the highest demands at a fraction of the costs normally associated with rapid deployed systems. Not only can the Big Bags USA systems be connected to provide a barrier of any length needed, they can also be stacked. Depending on the height of the barrier needed, there are two acceptable ways to stack the Big Bags USA flood barrier systems!

Flood Protection 6 Feet or Under

For barriers of 6' or less, Big Bags USA flood barrier systems can be stacked irectly on top of one another. Be sure to stagger the systems so that the seams do not line up. After deploying the ground level of systems, begin deployment of a second level of systems directly on top of the ground level systems, following the steps in our blog titled "Steps for Deploying the Big Bags USA Systems." When stacking systems directly on top of each other, DRIPS, LLC does not recommend stacking more than two systems high.

Flood Protection Over 6 Feet

DRIPS, LLC recommends stacking Big Bags USA in a pyramid configuration to insure proper barrier integrity. The pyramid configuration consists of equal numbers of horizontal and vertical systems. For example, if your barrier will be 3 sytems tall, you will need 3 systems wide on the bottom. It is important that all systems are staggered so every system sits over the seams of the previous level. To begin deployment, deploy systems one barrier line at a time, following the steps in our blog titled "Steps for Deploying the Big Bags USA Systems,"  until the desired base width is achieved. Begin deploying the second level in the same fashion and continue this process until the desired height is achieved. DRIPS, LLC does not recommend stacking systems over heights of 15 feet.

With the various length and height abilities, Big Bags USA provides the versatility to meet all your flood protection needs.  Big Bags USA can be used in a variety of flood & water control situations such as water retention, levee reinforcement, water re-direction, securing a perimeter, protecting important utilities and more!
