FEMA Provides Assistance During Presidential Disaster Declarations
DID YOU KNOW? Any area that has had a presidential declaration can have our flood control products on hand for flood defense and to reduce damages from similar events. Emergency preparedness measures are paid 75% by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Let's take a look at a few of the areas that have recently been declared as major disaster areas: Mississippi Severe Storms and Flooding On March 25, 2016, FEMA announced that federal disaster assistance has been made available to the state of Mississippi to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the area affected by severe storms and flooding beginning on March 9, 2016, and continuing. The President's action makes federal funding available to affected individuals in Bolivar, Coahoma, and Washington counties.
