How You Can Help with Hurricane Relief
It has been a devastating hurricane season this year. Between Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria, the United States has experienced some major natural disasters over the past couple of months. Keep reading to what Big Bags USA® is doing for hurricane relief, and how you can help with these efforts.
Big Bags USA® has organized a way to get donations to those that need it the most. Those in Florida affected by Hurricane Irma will receive a truck load of goods donated by Lake of the Ozarks area residents. Many people have undergone up to weeks of no power and no running water. Many have lost their homes and their contents. People are in need of basic necessities just to get by. It's going to be a long road to recovery ahead, and every little bit helps.

Items that we use everyday and often take for granted are what the people affected by these hurricanes need. Here's a list of items that we would like to collect:
We ask that you please keep used clothes to a bare minimum, as they will be staying in Missouri with the Salvation Army. It is very nice and thoughtful to donate clothes, but new underwear and socks should come in the original package from the store.
Businesses around the Lake of the Ozarks area have offered to place collection bins at their estabishments to help us gather donations. Below is a list of places you can drop off your donations at:
Unfortunately, the 2017 Atlantic Hurricane Season is not over yet! While we hope and pray that the worst of the tropical storm activity is already over, we have to be prepared for what could come. We will continue to collect donations for those affected by hurricanes through the end of November, which is when hurricane season will finally come to a close. For more information on how to help, give Tom at Big Bags USA® a call at 573-480-6699.
Another way to help, is to let those in hurricane prone areas know about the benefits of Big Bags USA® flood barriers. Spread the word about our flood prevention products to emergency management personnel and local officials. Our flood barrier systems are 200 times faster to deploy than traditional sandbags and they use half the amount of sand. Save time and money by choosing Big Bags USA® for all your flood control needs!
